Arrive at Chopta (8,790 ft) by noon, enjoying scenic views en route. Check-in at the guesthouse/campsite and rest to acclimatize to the altitude. Spend the evening exploring the surroundings or relaxing with panoramic mountain views. Enjoy a hot vegetarian dinner and prepare for the next day’s trek. Overnight stay in Chopta.
Early morning departure from Chopta after a hearty breakfast. Begin the 3.5 km trek to Tungnath Temple (11,500 ft), passing through beautiful rhododendron and oak forests. After offering prayers at Tungnath, continue the steep 1.5 km ascent to Chandrashila Peak (12,000 ft). Witness mesmerizing 360-degree views of Himalayan ranges, including Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Chaukhamba. Spend time soaking in the serenity and capturing memorable photographs. Descend back to Chopta by evening, covering a total trek distance of 12 km. Return to the campsite/guesthouse for a hot dinner. Overnight stay in Chopta
After breakfast, drive to Sari Village (approximately 20 km, 45-minute drive). Start the 3 km trek to Deoriatal Lake (8,000 ft), passing through thick forests and picturesque landscapes. Enjoy the serene beauty of the lake, reflecting the mighty Chaukhamba peaks. Spend some leisure time by the lake before returning to Sari Village. Trek back to Sari Village and prepare for departure. Bid farewell to the serene landscapes and conclude the journey with cherished memories.
