Start with sunrise on the river

Aim for an early boat ride from Assi or Ravidas Ghat. The river is calm, priests are setting up rituals, and the city feels soft and quiet. Carry a light shawl even in warmer months as mornings can feel cool on the water.

Midday heritage walk

After breakfast, walk the alleyways around Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Godowlia. Expect narrow lanes, vibrant markets, and plenty of street food. Plan short breaks in between temple visits to avoid fatigue.

Evening Ganga Aarti

Dashashwamedh Ghat hosts the most iconic Aarti. Arrive early for a good viewing spot, or consider watching from a boat for a calmer experience. Keep your camera ready but remain mindful of the ceremony.

Best time to visit

October through March offers crisp mornings and comfortable walking weather. Summers can be intense, so plan indoor breaks and keep hydration top of mind if you are visiting between April and June.
